THE PROPHETIC SERIES
THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS IS THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY
Shine the Light, the Blessed Gospel Light, Let it Shine Forevermore!
(OR : Why We Are Not In The Time Of The End)
There are those who interpret Bible prophecy as though the God Of Love and Mercy is going to destroy this world soon mercilessly.
These people do not know God. They do not have a relationship with Jesus and have not received the revelation of God's love.
Instead they are infused with the sensationalism of Satan, who is the real destroyer. Jesus said he comes to kill, steal and
destroy, and that is all he is interested in.
These same people have endless lists advertising the devil's works and calling them "Acts of God" and they even add to the
list their own imaginary "soon to come" catastrophic events in order to increase the sales of their books. They say that
God is going to bring these events to pass because this is bible prophecy. This is the book of Revelation, or Apocalypse,
being fulfilled. At the same time many of them talk about demons and devils, and how Satan is working for God, and they accept
God as being the one who puts diseases on people and kills people by "taking them" to use them in heaven.
This incorrect and cruel paradigm has become popular it seems, as it excuses people from having faith to get healed and gives
them an excuse why they don't need to fight for a better world and even try to change the world to make a difference. After
all, Jesus is going to take us all out of it soon anyway, so why bother?
The devil is real busy spreading his propaganda, and it is not because this is the time of the end. It is because with modern
technology and communications, especially the internet, Satan has found a way to spread his propaganda faster than ever. He
is literally "frightening people to death".
Here I would like to share passages from the Bible that are solid promises from God that He will not allow these bad things
to happen as long as we are acknowledging Him. Of course we re living in a sinful fallen world. Things are going to happen.
The Bible says "he that digs a pit will fall in it" and that we will reap what we sow.
As we measure out it will be measured to us again said Jesus Christ, and that has proven to be true. This is one of the spiritual
laws of God, not time of the end apocalyptic end of the world prophecy.
So what God do you worship? Do you give him praise and thanks, or are you joining the many who have decided that God is the
destroyer and blaming Him for troubles of this world like Job did?
Maybe you don't worship and praise and adore God like you should because you have been hoodwinked by these pseudo authors
and self proclaimed prophets into pointing the finger at God as the one who brought you all of your troubles, and so you feel
you cannot love and praise God for treating you in such a way?
If that is the case, then you are playing right into the devil's hands and have the wool pulled right over your eyes! Satan
has succeeded in getting you to turn your eyes and your heart away from God, away from Jesus, and has succeeded to turn them
towards himself, in worship, fear, panic, worry, insecurity and uncertainty.
Perhaps he has caused you, by you listening to his lies, to turn your eyes away from your Savior and on to the troubles of
the world and doubt in your heart the unconditional love and grace of God? This , no doubt, would definitely affect your
relationship with God, as the devil knows, and will distract you from entering into an intimate loving relationship with God.
After all, how can you live with someone and love them if you do not know from one day to the next how they are going to treat
you? You are not certain about that person's behavior and have no explanation for it, and also cannot predict what that person's
attitude is going to be towards you each day. Also that person is constantly berating you and correcting you for every little
thing, putting sickness on you when you make a mistake, causing financial difficulties, killing your loved ones, causing deadly
storms and natural disasters,
and it sounds more like you'd be living with Dr. No, or any one of all the other demagogues who try to take over the world,
or even Satan, who is the real destroyer!
How can anyone live with a person like that and be secure in a love relationship, and intimate relationship, and feel safe
and secure in their arms not knowing from one moment to the next if that person's attitude towards them is going to change
based upon how well they perform or don't perform?
Could you feel safe and secure in the arms of someone like that? Can you live with and love unconditionally someone who is
so unpredictable and who might just suddenly decide one day that you need this sickness or that accident to teach you a lesson
without explaining why?
And yet this is the concept of God that many Christians live with today. Someone who is about to destroy the world and bring
devastation to country after country, we know not where next, kill people after people, women , children and babies too, and
then send them to hell for not knowing Him.
No wonder so many people today are sick of such a God and have turned atheist, or to another religion much more tolerant of
them. religion today, especially the Christian religion, has succeeded in turning away many people just by their unloving
and demagogue impression of God they are giving them.
I hope to share passages here from the Bible that prove that the God of the Bible, and the Son of God Jesus Christ is not
the one guilty of these misconceptions. Also, the errors of those who believe in a coming "Rapture" that the Bible never mentions.
There are , however a couple of verses that "scholars" kind of "figured out" the interpretation to mean literally meeting
Jesus in the clouds, in the sky.
Why do so many people come to so many different conclusions that do not seem to coincide with each other? There are various
reasons. The way one reads the Bible, or understands it, for one, can vary according to what they have been taught previously
This is where most of the Time of the End doctrines are coming from. Just passed down from generation to generation, and church
to church, never bothering to really look these things up or question them because they were passed down from their elders.
And you had better not question anything that is passed down or you will never be allowed to teach in your church or denomination
and people will call you an apostate or heretic.
We should question things that are taught inside the church as well as outside the church. Many churches have become cults
in themselves, not allowing their congregations to believe anything other than what their pastors teach them to believe. They
cannot even think for themselves, let alone pray and ask the Holy Spirit to teach them the Word, which, by the way is the
secret to understanding the Bible. Having an intimate relationship with God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy
Spirit, because these three are one! If you have fellowship with one you have it with all. Only then can you with boldness
come before the throne of grace and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the written word to you, as God would apply it to you in
he always gives you what you need to help you or get you through whatever you are going through in your life. Of course most
of what we are going through in troubles and tribulations is because we don't know God or His voice well enough yet and so
we misinterpret a lot of what happens to us as if God is angry at us, or we are out of it, or have fallen from grace, which
the Bible says is impossible once you have been enlightened.
The Father , Son and Holy Spirit never have ever worked independently of each other and never will. They will always work
plural unity with each other, each part of the Godhead complimenting the other two, and forming a perfect Godhead.
You can't tell Jesus something that the Father and Holy Spirit won't hear, and the same goes for telling the Father and the
Holy Spirit. God knows all.
So back to these Endtime doctrines that are swaying people away from God and getting them to focus on what the devil is doing
, or would like to do and has tried to do in every generation through the history of the world.
But it seems like he could never completely hold on to what he gained because God always comes through for His children and
sets them free from the wiles of the devil and all of his spiritual bondage and abuse.
God is still busy now trying to set people free and give them spiritual liberty. Free from the evil doctrines of men that
paint God as an ogre, a kind of benevolent "Shrek" type of creature. Emotional and unstable, roller coaster God who can't
seem to decide what to do or when to do it, who to judge or how to.
Either that or they picture and promote Him as some mythological god like Zeus, or Neptune, that is bi-polar, double -minded,
schizophrenic, and can't make up his mind if he wants to love the people or hate them, save them or damn them.
This is the picture religion gives you of God today. Someone who is going to judge you if you don't get it right! So to save
Him the trouble of deciding who to judge, He just destroys the whole world, half of it, a third of it, whichever position
you take, whichever doctrine you prefer, in his rage and anger, because He is mad at you for what you did.
This is false , false, false and a horrible slander against the character of God. The current Endtime and Anti-Christ doctrines
are a horrible slander against the true nature of the God of Love, the God of the Bible, and a great part of the church and
even the world has swallowed this great lie hook line and sinker!
So in this article I am going to deal with two issues. Number One: The Antichrist Myth. Number Two: The Endtime Myth.
And how both of these false beliefs are contrary to the Word of God, the Bible, contrary to His precious promises, contrary
to the character and nature of Jesus Christ, God the Father and the Holy Spirit. And I intend to do that by using scripture
from the King James Bible and also the ESV (English Standard Version) which is the best modern literary and literal translation
of the Bible there is.
First I will deal with the whole Endtime Movement Cult and where this doctrine came from.
The following is from a web site I found with my comments in parenthesis.
Common errors made about "End-time" Prophecy
Common errors people make about "End-time" Prophecy (Escatology),
and the False teachings of fictional movies like "Left Behind."
"Test Everything. Hold on to the good"--1 Thessalonians 5:21
1. THE ERROR OF LIFTING "THE LAST DAYS" OUT OF THEIR 1ST CENTURY HISTORICAL CONTEXT AND ATTEMPTING TO RE-APPLY THEM TO OUR
Comment: The problem, every mention of "the last days" or equivalents [last times, last hour, etc.] in the New Testament Scriptures
refers to the 1st Century. There are no exceptions. Check: Hebrews 1:2; Acts 2:17; 1 timothy 4:1; 2 Timothy 3:1; James 5:3;
2 Peter 3:3; Jude 18; 1 John 2:18.
( I have heard it taught that Jesus, Paul, John and Peter were actually speaking these things in the Spirit to the church
of the future! I have also heard it taught that Jesus, Peter, Paul and John believed that the time of the end was then, but
they were wrong!!!!)
2. THE ERROR OF SEPARATING DANIEL'S 70TH WEEK FROM HIS OTHER 69 WEEKS, INSERTING A TIME GAP OF INDETERMINATABLE LENGTH AND
CALLING IT A FUTURE, 7-YEAR TRIBULATION PERIOD.
Comment: Daniel's 70 Weeks of years [490 years] were literally, perfectly and sequentially fulfilled, within the time fame
of his four world empires. Its starting point was the Decree of Artaxerxes in 457 BC. Its finishing point was in 34 AD, when
the time determined exclusively upon the Judeans was over and the gospel was free to go to the Diaspora (lost 10 tribes of
Israel). There is no scriptural warrant or precedent for inserting a gap of any kind or duration.
(This is another gap theory, that places us now in the middle of the 69th and 70th week of Daniel somewhere in limbo, that
Daniel's prophecy literally "jumps"from Daniel's time into the distant unknown future, like "The Time Machine" after all ,
in the spirit world there is no time, so the past present and future are all the same anyway. This is the justification I
also was taught to believe, and taught to believe no other interpretation.)
3. THE ERROR OF CLAIMING THE "THIS GENERATION" IN YAHSHUA'S (JESUS) OLIVET DISCOURSE, WHICH WOULD EXPERIENCE EVERYTHING HE
DESCRIBED, MEANS SOME OTHER FUTURE GENERATION.
Comment: Every New Testament use [36 times] of the phrase "this generation" always refers to the generation then-and-there
present in the 1st Century. See, for example: (Matthew 23:36; 11:16; 12:41, 42; 16:4). Yahshua's usage in Matthew 24 was no
different. He never mentioned nor inferred any other generation different from that of those he was addressing. (The Scriptural
generation is approximately 40 years)
(Again, it is taught that Jesus is telling this to not His disciples then at that time, but to future generations of Christians
in the who knows when distant future)
4. THE ERROR OF ASSUMING THE BOOK OF REVELATION [OR MOST OF IT] IS A FORECAST OF FUTURE WORLD EVENTS STILL UNFULFILLED.
Comment: This assumption violates what the book of Revelation says about itself and to whom the book was written. In its prologue
and epilogue, it states, concerning the whole of its prophecy, that it was: "at hand," "obey-able" and, finally, "not to be
sealed up." Revelation's total relevance (in Old Testament Scripture's Poetic Picture language) starts and ends in the lifetime
of its original hearers, and to those who were originally addressed, "the seven assemblies that are in Asia", Rev, 1:4. If
you are not of these Assemblies, living during the times of the address of the letter (book), the Prophecy in Revelation is
NOT for you.
(Here is another book of the Bible that they squeeze their end time doctrines out of as being in "this generation" now because
it says "the time is at hand" and they say that it did not mean to them there, but to us here, and that God is talking directly
to us here and now, that the time is at hand now not then. Well, common sense will tell you that if you write a letter to
someone and you tell them.."I am coming to visit you soon, the time is now, at hand, very soon I will come to see you"....,
and the letter gets lost in the mail and is not found by the person it was intended for, until 30 years later...... and that
person reads the letter knowing that it was written 30 years before,.....and believes that the person who wrote the letter
did not mean that he was coming 30 years before... but that he is coming the day he reads the letter....
that is the same as believing that what Jesus said to His disciples was not for them but for us now.....you would not be considered
normal....and may even end up in a mental institution for thinking that the 30 year old letter was meant to be fulfilled the
day you read it, instead of at the time it was written and intended for.)
5. THE ERROR OF SPINNING OFF ATTRIBUTES OF DANIEL'S FOURTH WORLD EMPIRE, INSERTING A TIME GAP AND CALLING IT A FIFTH WORLD
EMPIRE...A YET-TO-COME,"REVIVED ROMAN EMPIRE."
Comment: Daniel's two visions (Daniel 2 & 7) portrayed four successive world empires, not five. They were Babylon, Medo-Persia,
Greece and the old Roman Empire. Daniel places the coming of one like the son of man [the Messiah] and the establishment of
His everlasting kingdom during the time of this fourth world empire, the old Roman Empire. This was all fulfilled, exactly,
without gaps, gimmicks or any interpretive high jinx.
(The purpose of God revealing who the world empires would be in His Word is all tied to the coming of the Messiah. God gave
man every chance possible way before hand in prophecies, hints , even telling them what governments and powers would be ruling
the world at the time the Messiah comes so that those whose eyes were opened could know the signs of the times, and see that
Jesus truly was the Messiah. That is why Bible prophecy is so important. It signifies the coming of the Messiah, Jesus, his
life and death, His goals, and glory. Not so that some so called antichrist demagogue can be glorified or feared. Its all
6. THE ERROR OF TEACHING THAT 1ST CENTURY SOCIAL, POLITICAL, AND RELIGIOUS CONDITIONS MUST BE RE-ENACTED FOR ENDTIMES FULFILLMENT
TO OCCUR, AGAIN.
Comment: It is the failure of interpreters to recognize the significance of the historical events surrounding the predicted
destruction of Jerusalem by Messiah, of the Judean temple and of cultic Judaism in 70 AD --- This was the real "End-times",
also referred to as the "end of the World", with the meaning "the end of the formal ceremonial Religious system".
(It's a shame that God went through all that trouble to teach people and warn them of the impending doom of Jerusalem, and
all things were fulfilled just as Jesus said they would be.....and yet....people still today will not accept that it happened
like that. They are still waiting for an antichrist...even though Nero gave the Christians the worse persecution they ever
had...and they even saw Rome burn...they even saw the Roman Empire fall, and from it rose the Holy Roman Empire. People just
don't want to believe history.)
7. THE ERROR OF POSTPONING ALL OR PART OF THE COMING [I.E. CONSUMMATION] OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
Comment: Daniel prophesied the coming of ONLY ONE, everlasting Kingdom of God. It was to take place in the days of the fourth
world empire [the Roman Empire]. That kingdom is THE kingdom which John the Baptist and Yahshua proclaimed as "at hand." What's
more, Yahshua's coming in power and glory consummated that kingdom when the old Judaic cultic system was completely destroyed
(70 AD). All this occurred exactly as, and when Yahshua said it would--within the lifetime of those then living (Matthew 10:23;
16:28; 24:30-34; 26:64).
(What more does God have to do? He sent His only begotten Son to die for the sins of the world! God became man, the Word became
flesh and dwelt among us" What is God supposed to do ? God's own plan was to send Jesus. What can be more astounding and awesome
than that? God coming down to earth and fulfilling all of the prophecies of Moses, David and the Prophets just as Jesus said
He did. Jesus said from His own mouth that He fulfilled ALL of the prophecies concerning Him.....and yet christians are still
waiting for God to come down and rend the heavens for this and that. They are still waiting for a sign. But Jesus said there
will no sign be given them "except the sign of Jonas" which was the sign of the Son of Man.
do you realize how insulting it is to God to reject what He did through Jesus , His Son? God has already come to man.....and
many have rejected Him.
Besides that, He gave us the Holy Spirit to dwell with us....God in us....in all of His fulness....so what more do you want
than that?God dwelling on the inside of your spirit. How awesome and unnecessary for God to do that, I mean it wasn't needful
for Him to do that, but He did it of His own accord, to give us a new life, salvation through His grace, by Jesus Christ,
and put His Spirit within us to lead us and teach us..how awesome....so what more do we want? The Kingdom of God within us!!
8. THE ERROR OF MISUSING YAHSHUA'S (JESUS) STATEMENT ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO KNOW THE "DAY OR THE HOUR" OF HIS COMING TO
IMPLY NOT BEING ABLE TO KNOW THE MONTH, YEAR OR EVEN THE GENERATION.
Comment: Scripture is precise in its use of time statements. For 1st Century believers, not being able to know the "day or
hour" was no excuse. Yahshua emphatically warned, "when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies...get out" (Luke 21:20-21).
Armies surrounded Jerusalem four times in 66, 67, 68 and, lastly, in 70 A.D.... Those who read this sign and acted in time,
escaped, (were saved). Those who didn't, or wouldn't, suffered the wrath of God's judgment at this particular, time-restricted
and end-of-the-age coming of Yahshua.
(Search the scriptures....this is the only way to know the truth......only reading Matthew 24 and drawing your own conclusions
from that chapter only will lead you astray. You have to balance it out with the rest of the Gospels and Acts and Epistles
and Messianic Prophecies.)
9. THE ERROR OF SUBSCRIBING TO A PAGAN, "END-OF-THE-WORLD" PARADIGM.
Comment: Do you know what the Bible says about an "end of the world?" NOTHING. What do the historic creeds say? Again, NOTHING.
What the Bible actually says is: World without end, Amen -- Ephesians 3:21 KJV. The earth remains forever -- Ecclesiastes
1:4 End of the age -- Matthew 13:39, 49; 24:3
(Yes! World without end! The Ages to Come! Forever! Eternal Life! There is no end in sight! )
10. THE ERROR OF CONCEDING BY DEFAULT THAT ALL-1ST CENTURY IMMINENCY EXPECTATIONS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT WRITERS, THE EARLY
CHURCH BELIEVERS AND YAHSHUA HIMSELF PROVED FALSE.
Comment: If our 1st Century ancestors in the faith, and even Yahshua (Jesus) Himself, were mistaken about something as important
as the coming again of Yahshua and about "the end of all things is at hand" (1 Peter 4:7) as being imminent in their lifetimes,
how can we now trust them for passing on any other aspects of the faith? The answer is, they were not mistaken.
11. THE ERROR OF BUYING INTO A NEW TEACHING IN CHURCH HISTORY [LAST 150 YEARS] OF AN ESCAPE FROM THIS PLANET, FROM THIS LIFE'S
TRIBULATIONS AND FROM KINGDOM RESPONSIBILITIES.
Comment: The relatively new teaching of a "rapture-removal" or 'Left Behind' from planet Earth is a distortion of key scriptures
historically interpreted to refer to a general resurrection. Yahshua specifically prayed against the human weakness 'for removal'
(John 17:15). And His prayer is still in effect. This is the most dangerous of all corrupted teachings, because it attempts
to remove the believer, the Christian from his responsibility of ruling with Messiah as the body, over this world. It leaves
a void of righteous Christians in Civil and Governmental affairs, which are subsequently filled by Pagans, with obvious results.
Wake up Christian, only you have been given the knowledge, and the wisdom to rule with Messiah, get involved, get elected,
(I believe this whole heartedly! We are not here waiting for some UFO to come and pick us up and to hell with the rest of
the world. We are not here to damn the world of unbelievers and judge nations. we are here to fight the good fight of faith,
get involved, help others, help Jesus rule and reign this world.
But a lot of us first need to rule ourselves, our tongues, our appetites and habits and thoughts, and get some good habits
of spending time in fellowship with the Lord and others, prayer, reading and studying His Word for ourselves instread of just
taking someone's word for it.
There are those who say, "but we DO study the Bible and pray and even go to church every Sunday." Well that is good, but there
What counts is HOW you study the Bible. Who is teaching you. Do you take everything you see in the Bible literally? If you
do then you are missing the point of the Bible and God's communication piece for us. The Bible to us today is like the Urim
and Thummin was to the Israeli high priests. It tells us the will of God, and what is best for us and our families and situations.
Just like the Urim and Thummin, if the priest asked the right question he got the right answer. We use the Bible for searching
out the will of God, and the Holy Spirit leads us and gives us the witness of the Spirit, a message, words, impression, feelings,
thoughts, something, and then we check it out with the Word and usually find more.
So what is the Bible to you? Is it a book that has all these hidden codes and you want to try to decipher it? Is it a book
that can tell your fortune, make you rich, tell you what horse to bet on, or where to take your vacation?
No it is none of these really. It is God's communication system with His people. Not a set of rules, but God's way to make
sure what we are hearing is from God and not our own mind, or the devil.
We all hear God's voice, but we also hear a lot of other voices telling us what to do and what to believe. Whose voice are
you listening to?
