WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD PART TWO
Proof that We Are Not Living In The End Time
PREACHING THAT WE ARE LIVING IN THE TIME OF THE END AS WAS ANNOUNCED IN THE TIME OF THE EARLY CHURCH IS NOT ONLY NEGATIVE,
IT IS SAYING THAT THE WHOLE WORLD IS EVIL AND THERE IS NO WAY OUT OF IT BUT UP!
This is a similar mind set that most of the religious cults have, who are saying: Stop the world! I want to get off! Some
have. Such as Heaven's Gate suicide cult who believed that a space ship hiding from view at the end of the tail of the Hale
Bop comet was going to take them away to heaven. They were supposed to rendezvous with the space ship by killing themselves
to set their spirits free to join it.
This is another End of the Word mind set that failed. Another suicide cult was the Jim Jones cult who either committed suicide
or were forced to. Either way it ended up in a mass death of another end time cult.
There is also the apocalyptic religious group Aum Shinri Kyo, led by Asahara , whose members released poison Sarin gas on
the subways of Tokyo. Asahara is paying for it with his life. They tried to jump start the end of the world. Some of their
members are still running from justice.
Another end time Christian cult led by David Koresh met its doom at Waco Texas as it was stormed by the ATF and FBI when the
compound somehow caught on fire and all the members who were there at the time, including women and children hiding in a cellar
of the compound, were all burned to death.
The controversy of the deaths still haunts the U.S. government today with accusations that the members of the Davidians
were "executed". The government claims that they committed suicide.
Suspicious video footage of the last day reveal possibilities that the authorities were responsible for setting the fires.
Nevertheless, another end-time cult, this one heavily armed with weapons and involved in a pitch battle with the Feds, met
an ugly end.
There are other end time churches and cults who have become more civilized and decided to live among society as good citizens
of the countries they are living in, such as the Mormons(Church of the Latter Day Saints), the Seventh Day Adventists, the
Jehovah Witnesses, The Restored World Church of God, and others.
Many of them still preach the end of the world is near, while their leaders fill their pockets with the money of hard working
individuals who donate to their cause, and build bigger buildings and churches, even Universities. These facts make me wonder
if they really believe what they preach, by looking at the way they live.
One group, a group that I myself was a long time member of, the Family International,(formerly the Children of God and Family
of Love) originally started as a missionary movement whose mission was to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every
creature, became more and more apocalyptic and "end of the world" in its message and approach due to the never ending torrent
of letters from its founder David Berg.
David Berg insisted he was the fulfillment of the prophecies in Ezekiel 34 that talk about "my servant David" and required
that the followers adhere strictly to the detailed instructions and counsel in his letters.
David Berg believed that he was giving an update on the Bible, in modern language, because the King James English Bible was
just too hard to understand for the average hippie or young person, and his interpretation was necessary .
He also made many predictions about the timing of the events he believed were leading to the rise of the Antichrist and return
of Jesus Christ, which he discovered he had to update every couple of years due to his predictions failing to come to pass.
The group itself was not know to be a suicide cult, but there were many cases of young people in the group both in and out
who, unfortunately, did meet that fate.
You see, when you have a mind set about the end of the world ,where you are minimizing a productive life and future on this
planet in hopes of Jesus coming back to rescue us from the evil of the world, your outlook on life can become quite dark and
negative. You become somewhat convinced that there is nothing really worth living for in this planet other than service in
the movement you are in.
You always think about it, and everything you do and preach is based on this way of thinking. Your everyday actions and thoughts
are focused on your goals of bringing this message of doom to the world. The thinking becomes tense, relationships can become
shallow, the value of life itself in relation to the future can be weakened to the point where your own marriage, and even
family including children and your relations with them plays an inferior second to your other goals in the group.
Sudden news of disaster or political uprisings and change are interpreted as more "signs" of the end, and there is a gleeful
feeling that goes along with the possibilities that "this may be it!"
Because you are expecting The Antichrist to rise any day, for the past 30 years, you are now more convinced than ever that
the time must be soon. After all, you didn't go through all those years for nothing. He will surely arise and you will have
You have been thinking about it and living in that frame of mind, that paradigm, for so many years and even the language has
become a daily accepted part of your vocabulary, and the words are even on the lips of your little children, and you are expecting
the worst to happen, the mind can get bent out of shape and lose the proper perspective and ability to correctly
judge even the simplest actions or communications.
Fear of the future can take hold in your children, as they begin to wonder what it is all about and what was I born into,
and many of them wondering how to get out of it and still keep the friends they value so much.
On the other hand, if after 30 or 40 years of believing the end is coming, and a few missed prediction dates, still no sign
of things happening, misinterpretation of various news events, as many who have left the group and many of the young people
have begun to imagine, things still do not seem to be panning out according to end - time plans, perhaps considering the possibility
that there have been a few mistakes along the lines of Bible interpretation is not so far fetched.
What bright possibilities does the future hold for the young people who have dreams that they want to live?
Your life is spent in the limited inspiration you do have. Strength and energy is used up in trying to make a living by selling
products produced by the group only as you have been admonished that a secular job will weaken your status as a disciple.
There is a constant struggle to meet your monthly financial obligations, as you trudge on day after day, week after week,
month after month, and year after year, hoping, looking, waiting with bated breath for the next "sign " of the coming of this
Antichrist so you can start counting the days before the return of the King for His bride.
But you do want to spend your days in useful service, and so you look for people to help and get involved in volunteer work
under a different name so as not to draw too much attention to your over crowded housing situation, bringing food to the homeless,
volunteering for disaster relief, visiting Old Folks homes and orphanages and hospitals doing skits, playing music,
doing puppet shows, and doing all the good you can do while you still have time.
A lot of this work is commendable and very needed, but you take pictures of your volunteer work, making sure to include the
workers and staff, management and a certificate of thanks for your visit there around the Christmas season. These pictures
are out on your web site and sent out in news letters to your potential donors so they can see the good work you are doing
around Christmas time.
Is that the scenario you are in because you are working your but off to make sure you stay in God's end time work so you will
be protected somehow by a miracle when the Antichrist arrives on the scene, and demands you take his mark? What will you do
then? Where will you go? Is that really going to happen?
Now For The Proof that it is not, and that you would be better off forgetting about that doctrine because it simply is not
taught in the Bible.
1. The Bible does not use the term "End of Time" " End Time". "End of days " is used only in Daniel 1 and 4 but not in reference
to a 20th or 21st century End of the Earth.
"Time of the End" is used only in the book of Daniel , referring to the time that is drawing near to the end of Israel as
a nation, after the Messiah comes, and not the end of the world.
If it is the End time, then what is it the end of? What exactly is ending?
"The End of the world in Matthew 24 in the KJV is translated from the the Greek word that means "age", so what it is saying
is the end of the age. Jesus was referring to the end of Israel's age.
2. The Bible does not use the term, "Return of Christ", Christ's return, second coming, Return of Jesus, coming of Christ
a second time, Rapture, or any other term that teaches Jesus Christ will return a second time to the Earth in an uncertain
time in the distant future.
The only statement in the Bible that even comes close to suggesting the return of any time soon of Christ is in Acts 1:11,
and is addressed to the apostles standing around, by angels.
Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from
you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
This sounds like the apostles will see and know Jesus when He came again, not just once, but many times. They did not specify
that He will return in the far distant future, only that He will "come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven"
Although many Christians who believe in the "Rapture" not mentioned in the Bible, they neglect to see the coming of Jesus
again and again in the book of Acts, through the Holy Spirit, Jesus in person, His voice speaking, Him sending angels, and
the many visitations Jesus made to the apostles and other Christians throughout the books of Acts, the Epistles, and The Revelation
of Jesus Christ, willfully.
3. The Bible doesn't teach about a second coming of Christ in detail, as being in the far distant unimaginable future in a
consistent way. Any doctrines derived from the Bible using scripture are cut and paste theology, taking pieces of verses and
splicing them together to create an End-time scenario that has already passed the 20th century and is taking its toll on the
21st century Church now.
The early church were having a hard enough time dealing with the first coming of Jesus and what it really meant, let alone
a second coming.
4. If we are living in the End time , and it was prophesied in the Bible that the 21st century was going to be it....listen....I
lived through the last half of the 20th century....and it was prophesied by false prophets that the 20th century was the time
of the end. well, it didn't come. That means that everyone who predicted Jesus would return in the 20th century was DEAD WRONG!
So we can forget about EVERYTHING that was ever prophesied to take place in the 20th century regarding an "rising of an Antichrist
and Rapture" You can throw it all away because it just did not happen! EVERYONE who "prophesied" or predicted any such thing
gave false prophecies and false predictions, and so you can just throw their prophecies out!
Some of them are trying to make excuses for things not happening the way they predicted, by saying things like; "Oh, our interpretation
of the prophecies were not accurate." Or, " The prophecies were from God, we just misinterpreted them"
So if I were you I would just forget about those false prophets and do not give them a second chance! You will only be deceived
again as you were the first time around.
So you need to start with a new clean slate for the 21st century and take a good look at reality. Ok, where is he? Where is
the Antichrist and his one world government, his mark of the beast, his temple, the Abomination of desolation, where is it?
who is it? No one knows. There is just as much guess work and mystery as there was 150 years ago when this whole thing started.
Now it is the 21st century. People are still predicting that there will be an Antichrist, and end of the world, a Rapture,
in 2012, or whenever. When will this madness stop? I mean, may God damn this madness! It is madness and insanity as far as
I am concerned !
5. In my opinion, David Berg was insane to have had his prophecies not come to pass and then just keep on going and giving
more prophecies like nothing ever happened! And it didn't ! He lead us in a world wide movement that condemned the world and
WE were supposed to help bring forth the Antichrist! Pure insanity! WE WERE supposed to help bring the antichrist to power
somehow, and fight the enemies of the Lord from the Rock city of Petra. That was some of the early teachings of The Family
and David Berg's.
6. But what happened? David Berg kept changing his stance on the antichrist, until The Family was so confused about it they
decided to leave everything up to Maria and her channels to "get it" from the "Lord".
The truth is that the End time as we knew it already happened in 70 AD. The end of Jerusalem and Israel as a nation, until
7. The greatest enemy of Christianity today is whom? Islam! If you want to go on a witch hunt for anti-christ governments,
check out the governments of the Islamic nations. You cannot convert anyone in Saudi Arabia under penalty of beheading. And
they do not use painless Guillotines either! The nation of Iran has vowed to destroy both America and Israel. Islam wants
nothing more than to have an Islamic world power, and make all other religions their slaves.
It will soon be a capital crime in Iran to covert a muslim to Christianity!
8. Yes, there is a beast that Daniel predicted, that would be an anti-God, anti-Messiah beast that would make war with the
saints, and be defeated in a short time. It appears both in Daniel and Revelation. The Lion, Bear, Leopard beast.
AND THERE IS AN ENDTIME, but it is not about the end of the world, or the return of Jesus Christ in the clouds and on white
horses to Armageddon, where the blood is supposed to be so high it reaches the horses bridles!
The trouble with that is that people do not know symbolic language when they see it, but the Early church understood exactly
what it all meant.
That is why Jesus said "Blessed is he who hears the prophecies of this book read out loud and keeps those things" They were
supposed to hear it read out loud. Not read it and imagine it was talking about some time way in the distant future.
Well, this article is called "WHY THE WORLD IS GETTING BETTER AND NOT WORSE: PART TWO" Proof that we are not living in the
time of the end"
But we ARE living in it. We are living in the time of the end of this generation! We are living in the time of the end of
this AGE! We are living in a time when the 7 year tribulation doctrine has been debunked by Israel becoming a nation and ruling
Jerusalem once again! 1948 and 1967, two dates that debunk the whole end -time theory.
So what a wonderful world we live in. What a beautiful world we live in. Are you able to even say that? Do you believe we
are living in a wonderful marvelous world, with so many secrets God has revealed to man in order to help the world and make
it easier to live?
Or are you looking at the dark side of invention and knowledge and you think because of one verse in Daniel 12:3
"...time of the end.....knowledge shall increase" that this is talking about all the knowledge and progress in the world as
being evil and from the devil who is preparing to rise up as the antichrist?
What is your take on this? Do you thank the Lord for every day? Do you thank Him for your daily blessings and are you living
in the Lord's blessings and favor enjoying an intimate relationship with God? Or are you full of fear, not even sure if God
loves you and is pleased with your life and what you are doing?
Do you know Jesus, whom to know is Eternal life? Are you living in this eternal life now and having daily fellowship with
Father God, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God?
Or has the "god of this world" blinded your mind with fear and worry, so that you cannot see the Kingdom of God?
Jesus said in John 3 that unless a person is born again they cannot SEE the kingdom of God. See means to perceive or discern.
So what are you seeing?
The Bible mentions a "god of this world" which most people assume to mean Satan. As if he is some big powerful god in charge
of the world, but he is not. Satan does not have any authority but what man gives to him. His only power is in fear and deception,
in order to gain power through humans.
It is my personal opinion that the "god of this world" is not talking about the Satan, but talking about the worship that
man has of himself. Yes, that's right, the god of this world could very well be each person who worships himself and exalts
himself and his will above God's will.
"I will have no other gods before me" Jesus quoted to Satan.
The Bible says that there is a god of this world, or gods, so even if people think this God is Satan, he is being worshipped
by those who are afraid of him, and not by the whole world. ONLY those who recognize his works more than Jesus, in other words......Satan
is not in charge of the earth, Jesus is! And we through Him!
"The Earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein" The Earth is God's, not the devil's.
In the Lord's prayer it says "deliver us from evil" that doesn't mean for the Lord to come back and take us to heaven.
Jesus prayed in John 17 for God NOT to take his sheep out of the world , but to protect them from the evil in it.
Your concept of God and His love, Jesus , the Bible , if you believe we are living in the end time or not, will all have a
lot to do with how you relate to God, how you pray, how you read and understand the Bible, how you apply it to your life,
how you share it with others, and what your vision for your future and the future of your children and grandchildren will
Also your concept of God and the Bible will have a great deal to do with how you perceive this world, sickness and health,
your husband or wife and children, your neighbor, your boss and even your mother in law!
The Bible is a book inspired by the Holy Spirit, written down by man, but almost all of it was originally given in audible
In other words, it was not originally written down on paper, until the Tora, but the events and words were passes from mouth
to mouth, and it was eventually preserved in writing.
The Bible was written down by the scribes, to whom most of it was dictated by word of mouth. The literary styles are various,
in fact, more than any other sole literary work and yet people interpret the Bible as if it was the same type of writing all
the way through.
Take a Psalm, for example, like 23, the famous "Lord is my shepherd" Psalm. If you read the whole thing in it's context, and
see what it is saying, what is the message there? King David originally wrote it as a song. In fact he didn't write it, but
had his scribe write it down as he was singing it. He even heard from the Lord as to what instruments would be best to play
The Psalm expresses the Lord as the all supplier and protector, and uses the symbolism of a shepherd and his sheep. Taking
any line of the song out of context and using it to create a new Christian doctrine or even prove one would be absurd.
For one thing, it is in the Old Testament, before Christianity. Another thing is Jesus and the rest of the writers of the
New Testament laid down the foundation of Christianity, and although much in the New Testament was quoted from the Old, we
cannot take single verses from the Old Testament and create new doctrines from it without first confirming it with what the
New Testament says.
The Old Testament no longer stands on its own. After Jesus came things changed, and the New Testament is the update of the
Old Testament. So we need both. The Old Testament and the New. "Treasures New And Old".
Another example is the Family International's doctrine about David Berg being the fulfillment of the Ezekiel 34 "David" and
other places in the Old Testament that are actually prophecies meant for Jesus to fulfill, which He already did!
If that was true about David Berg, then you would be able to find it again in the New Testament. But what do we find there
that has to do with the name David?
Besides the many verses in the Gospels and Epistles that mention Jesus as the Son of David, who is to inherit the throne of
his "father David", there are two specific verses in Acts and three in The Revelation that refer to the prophecies in the
Old Testament concerning the name David.
Act 13:34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, [now] no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise,
I will give you the sure mercies of David.
Isa 55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with
you, [even] the sure mercies of David.
Act 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again
the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
Amo 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will
raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that
hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Isa 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall
shut, and none shall open.
Rev 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed
to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Gen 49:9 Judah [is] a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and
as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
Gen 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him
[shall] the gathering of the people [be].
Num 24:9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed [is] he that blesseth thee,
and cursed [is] he that curseth thee.
Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of
David, [and] the bright and morning star.
Isa 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Isa 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the
Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
So you see if anyone else is claiming to be that David mentioned in the Old Testament, they will have to take that up with
Jesus, because just as Jesus was mentioned in Old Testament prophecy by many different names and metaphors, so it is with
this one, David, which means "beloved of God", a name given to Jesus in the Old Testament as Jesus is surely the "beloved
of God". It is a gross and presumptuous error to believe that these prophecies of David are meant for someone in this day
and age, when there is no such indication of it in the New Testament to say the least, and the New testament clearly defines
these specific prophecies as having been meant for Jesus.
The Old Testament mixed with a new revelation from the 20th century cannot fly past the New Testament and completely change
a prophecy that has already been fulfilled in God's Word.
The paradox is that David Berg claimed to be the end time David prophesied in the Old Testament, but if we are not in the
end time, and these prophecies are about Jesus, then the end time was when He came and not now, and it was talking about the
end of an age, and not the world, as the King James Version of the Bible states.
The only way to keep holding on to this way of believing is to use the King James version and never look or consider any other
version of the Bible, Not even the ESV (English Standard Version) which is the most beautiful and accurate and literal translation
of the Bible ever done!
So why am I using KJV passages here? One reason is that I want to show you from the Bible you use the most that these things
about the end time just are not so. Another reason is that it is easier to look up verses in the KVJ using the Blue Letter
Bible and the KJV is the one that gives the Greek and Hebrew definitions of words in the KJV so you can see what "world "
really means if you look it up, just the same as you can see what "Hell " really means and not a burning fiery lake.
You will see what a wonderful wonderful world it is when you know you will be around a lot longer than you thought before,
and that the world will be around a lot longer than you thought before. When you see how the world is getting better, instead
of worse, on the over all, and that the world is being won for Jesus, not lost, and that the devil is not as big and bad as
you thought...but maybe your mind is in that it needs to be renewed with the Word of God, it is amazing!
When you see how much the God of love really loves you and wants to have a relationship with you and is not angry with you
for those doubts you have sometimes, and critical thoughts. He is not upset with you for not being loving enough and sometimes
being selfish and also for those things you did in secret that you thought no one else saw you doing, but you feel guilty
and ashamed to God.
No, God is not upset at you for those things either. In fact , He is very pleased with you because he knows that what you
are doing now with your life you are doing it because you love Him and want to serve Him. But that is not the main reason
He loves you. All of that pleases Him, not all of your works, but because you have a heart for Him, and faith, and that is
what pleases God.
However there is a greater reason above all the good things and works you think you did. There is an ultimate reason why He
loves you so unconditionally and completely so that He does not number your sins anymore.
First of all, God is Love. He is love plain and simple. He loves you because He IS love. And He loves you because Jesus already
died for your sins, and no matter what you do He still loves you . Of course if you believe that God loves you and accept
His love , then you won't want to do bad things but you will want to do good things and your good works will be a result of
your relationship with Him, and not an effort on your part to win His affection and blessings.
There isn't a thing in the world good enough you can do in order to win or earn God's affection and blessings. It is all by
grace and not by works. But your works will show that you do have a relationship with Him, if you are doing things for that
reason. Out of thankfulness and love for God and others. Not out of fear, or competition, or because you want to show off
that you are a good missionary. None of those qualify you for God's blessings.
So what a wonderful world you will live in when you realize that Jesus is already HERE! HE has been here ever since He sent
the Holy Spirit , and God sent the spirit of Christ into your hearts crying Abba Father! Jesus has been coming back again
and again. He has been appearing again and again to so many people! He appeared to John to give him the book of Revelation,
the last book of the Bible which is a poetic, apocalyptic Revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave to His servants to show
them things which must shortly come to pass, as it says.
Shortly doesn't mean in 2000 years. 2000 years from the 1st century to the early church would have been absolutely unfathomable!
Are you kidding? They were having trouble understanding the FIRST coming of Christ let alone the second.
Well, it is a wonderful world I believe, and it is getting more and more wonderful. God is purging this world too, and things
are getting better on the over all, generally speaking. Some things are getting worse, but even that is going to get better.
So I plan to be around for a long long time, in this wonderful world that God is changing daily, how about you?
